Fourth DAAD Summer School on Current Trends in Distributed Systems

Cloud Computing

The Summer School on Current Trends in Distributed Systems (CTDS) provides a unique opportunity to understand recent advances and trends in distributed systems such as cloud computing, service computing, and web computing. It brings together international experts from around the world and graduate students, young researchers and professionals.

Following the success of CTDS 2009 in Tunis, METIS-CTDS 2010 in Fez and METIS-CTDS 2011 in Marrakesh, this year’s edition of the summer school in Sousse will focus on cloud computing and will cover several topics around cloud computing. The invited speakers come from both academia and industry, which allows the participants to better understand and assess the recent developments in cloud computing from different perspectives.

In addition to high quality presentations and tutorials offered, the summer school provides a rich and enjoyable social and cultural program that fosters networking between the participants.

This summer school is sponsored by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in the context of the program German Arab Transformation Partnership and by the BMBF Software-Cluster.
